Publishing (and reading) a book about an online technology has an age-old curse – as soon as the information has been committed to paper its days of relevancy are numbered.
This book begins as a straight-arrow How To. It tells you everything you (as a business or organisation) need to know about Facebook - setting up your page, managing groups, moderating comments and the like. It then delves into more advanced workings like setting up and deploying applications.
It gets to the marketing in the final third where it talks about more esoteric principles such as planning campaigns, getting your marketing assets together, customising your keywords and SEO. All in all it's a very straightforward, easy-to-digest guide on how Facebook can work for you today, but 'today' is the operative word. On paper, today can turn into yesterday very quickly.
