Bodelin Technologies makers of the award winning ProPrompter HD mobile teleprompters will be showing their new ProPrompter HDi, the first teleprompter specifically made for the new Apple iPad and the ProPrompter Presidential, the first live speech teleprompter made for the Apple iPad. The ProPrompter App, now optimised for iPad, will also introduce Remote Sync and Presidential Sync as free updates for current users of the ProPrompter App.

ProPrompter created mobile teleprompting in 2002 and were the first to create a professional teleprompting App for the iPhone / iPod touch along with hardware released at NAB 2009.

Specifically made for the Apple iPad, the ProPrompter HDi is the ultimate full size mobile teleprompter. No AC power or external batteries needed as the iPad has a 10 hour battery. The iPad has a 9.7" diagonal screen and like the iPhone and iPod touch, can easily be read in bright sunlight. Though the iPad is relatively light at only 0.72 kg, the ProPrompter design team wanted something secure and created a new camera bar, made of light, yet sturdy, aircraft aluminium, which attaches to the base of Pro, and most, consumer cameras.

Next is a custom cut of 16:9 studio quality beam splitter glass encased in a padded frame and set in a high impact ABS hood. The key to the ProPrompter HDi hardware is a specially designed iPad specific bracket to securely hold the iPad without slippage when shooting handheld, jib or with a steadicam. This kit also includes the ProPrompter anti-reflection mask and the new ProPrompter handheld grip with ¼" tripod mount. Set up is about 20 seconds and comes in a newly designed waterproof military grade case. The customer provides their iPad and the ProPrompter App is available in the iTunes App Store (USD $9.99).

The new ProPrompter Presidential models will use the same studio quality 16:9 beam splitter glass and utilise the same iPad specific bracket to securely hold the iPad without slippage. iPads and App are not included.

An App Store Staff Favourite, the ProPrompter App for iPhone and iPod touch launched in January 2009 is the first professional teleprompting App. Since that launch the ProPrompter App has added four free feature updates plus the new Remote Control feature.

For NAB three new features have been added:

1. iPad native layout.
2. Remote Control Sync (viewing the remote script on the remote control screen). This would allow an off camera operator of the ProPrompter App to view the script on another Apple mobile device, synced with the script on the iPad that the on-camera talent is reading.
3. Presidential Prompting Sync (remote control feature would sync multiple iPads). Sync mode is essential in a presidential speech teleprompter so that the reader can look from the right and left prompting mirrors and not miss a beat in their delivery. Of course all it takes is one purchase of the ProPrompter App from the iTunes App Store and the user can load it on as many Apple mobile devices as they own. They can also use the sync and remote control features on other users iPads, iPhones and iPod touch that own the ProPrompter App.

ProPrompter HDi and the ProPrompter Presidential begin shipping April 12th (opening day for exhibits at NAB). Previous ProPrompter HD LCD and ProMag customers will be able to upgrade to the new ProPrompter HDi model.

The new iPad unit will be model # PPHDi and will Retail at $1499.00. Australian distribution is handled by GDB International.
