Regular Auscam family members are aware of BudweiserDog, the successor to VBtheDog ...

Budweiser dog is a bit poorly

Budweiser gets a lot of fandom from Auscam readers for his monthly column in the magazine, and lots of our friends know he is my best mate and been with me through hard times and been brilliant with a cuddle, lick and all 'round support no matter what.

And that is wonderful!!

But for his fans, Budweiser is a bit poorly at the moment having picked up a nasty mite thingo from - so Nicky the vet says - a fox on the 7 acres we will live on in The Shed.

Basically it attacks the skin and causes the maximum of itchiness - he is scratching like crazy so the fur falls out leaving bare skin. Happily we seem to have finally beaten the little bastards that caused it but for Buddy, it has been hell for the last 4 weeks.

So he asked me to type a thanks to all that have sent their best wishes! If there is one thing we have discovered over the last 18 months, it's that Auscam is a family. (His paws are in socks to stop him scratching so although he can do 30 wpm, this makes it a bit limiting. And Dragon Dictate's DOG dialect is still a bit flaky).

Well Buddy   Poorly Buddy

Thanks all!

He went back into full time journalism as the Managing Editor for Channel 7's 'Gadget Guy', Peter Blasina's publications VideoCamera and Pixelmag, before starting Australasian Camcorder magazine when these publications were shelved. He lives at Sydney's Avalon Beaches nearly on the ocean front with dog Budweiser and in his spare time is a nut for motor sport, road safety, fishing, science fiction - especially Dr Who - and technology.
